Have an xvid (of a vhs tape) which has occasional bend/slant at top edge of screen. I'm going to IVTC it, and would like to fix the slanting if possible. Any recommendation for best filter?

If it was captured with a tension slant in the digital video, some of the line info is missing.

You have to redo this in hardware, starting with the tape. Software can't fix this.

There are a couple of filters that might be useful:

    Rotate: http://avisynth.org.ru/rotate/rotate.html
Rotate plugin rotates or shears frames on any given angle.

    Spinner: http://avisynth.org/vcmohan/Spinner/Spinner.html
Spinner plugin rotates a frame or selected part of it about the given axis coordinates.
