ConvertXtoDVD audio sync probs

I use ConvertX 4 to burn my DVD's, usually with no problems. (I already downloaded the ConvertX 5 update, but don't like it, so I'm using 4)

Now I have some avi's that I'm trying to put on one disc. The first failed burn resulted in the 1st and 2nd files (episodes) on the DVD playing fine... but all the rest of them being out of sync on the audio. I have tried checking the box for "do not fix audio discontinuities"... but that made the problem worse... audio even farther out of sync. I have the format set to NTSC on ConvertX. All the files play fine (sync is good) in VLC --- but some files are 29 fps, some are 23 fps. Don't know if that's what's messing it up...? I even tried burning all the 29 fps files together alone & ConvertX still messed up the audio sync. I thought of setting the format to automatic instead of NTSC, but it says that "Automatic will use the format/frame rate closest to that of the first file in the project and apply it to the rest of the files"


Also wondering if I should change the resolution from Full D1 to automatic? The resolution of these files is 512 x 384. I don't know what will help, and I have enough coasters!

Any thoughts on how to get these seemingly fine files to burn properly to disc? Thanks for any help! I have a log of one of the failed burns, if that will help: The only warning I got was that my cellphone was plugged in to another Drive (F)

i will offer only this

I do not author and burn in one step

i author to the HD as a DVD folder,

then i test the DVD folder on the PC if it plays in VLC with no problem, then i burn to disc using imgburn

if anything is 'HINKY' i delete the folder and try again

Six episodes in six titles. Just create a project with the source files that are giving you problems and test those.
Don't waste any more disks, either use a read/writable, (DVD/RW) or have the program just create the video_ts folder
and stop there. You can play it back and check it straight from the hard drive.

Why would you keep wasting media?
