Does anyone know how to disable or turn off the logo splash screen on the Sony DVP-NS55P? Is this the same thing as the screen saver? My boyfriend does AV at his church and they use this hardware; each time it goes to "pause" the logo screen comes up and they prefer to have a blank screen instead. Any suggestions would be quite welcomed! Thanks in advance.

There's no harm in asking and maybe there is a way to do this, but it's very very rare for a DVD player to give a customer control over this. The odds are very high that there is no way to stop this behavior, so be prepared for that.

When PAUSE is pushed you should see the screen paused, no "splash" screen. If you have SCREEN SAVER enabled after being paused for several minutes you will see the screen saver, if you don't like that then disable screen saver. If your talking about pushing STOP then the Sony splash screen will display. The only way to have this not happen is if your DVD has it's own background. In this case when you push STOP that screen will display. To enable this feature you want to select JACKET PICTURE under background.

Thanks for your feedback. We'll give the suggestions about screen saver and jacket background a try and see what happens.
