  1. hey,

    on a linux machine-
How do you convert a .smi file to .srt while preserving the original language with Jubler?

Note: I've spent a good chunk of time trying to figure this out to no avail. So, I've tried "Software Editor" and opened the smi. It showed an empty shell (ie. 0:00:00 - end [nothing]). I've also used Jubler and it opens it just fine with the time and subtitles synchronized associated, but has shows random characters instead of the original language (Korean).

Edit: Added Korean language support (above English) under Language Support and rebooted. No change.

(the GSM tuning website doesn't work for me. I just get a "Go away" message when I try to convert.)
(Also, I've the subtitle file works fine on GOMPlayer in windows)

Edit: Also, I read another similar thread; I'm pretty new to Linux so PERL scripting is a no-go, unless someone can provide some help with that =)
