burnig vcd onto a dvd

Hi everyone!!
I have used TMPGenc to convert programmes (alright then, episodes of friends) so that I could fit 12 episodes onto a dvd (as I thought I would be able to fit more vcd encoded files onto a dvd). I have nero 6 and usually use nero express, but when I try to add files to the dvd I get invalid file format error.
Is there something I am doing incorrectly, or can this just not be done?/

for VCD style files on DVD you need to be using 352x240, less than 1.8Mbps video and 48k audio. try using tmpgenc dvdauthor to create your DVD files.

Yes, you're using Nero for other things than burning, and yes again, it can be done. Use a real DVD authoring app to author. To author VCD material as DVD, use TMPGEnc DVD Author as flaninacupboard suggests.
