How to split a large movie with DVDFab Platinum

I have a large movie and want to keep the video quality so trying to split it with DVDFab Platinum v3 to fit on two DVD disks.
The app is able to compress the movie to DVD-5 etc but when I click on the SPLIT button nothing happens.

Can anyone advise on this. The movie VOB files are fine.

well you could author with dvdshrink & vob blanker

rip to the HHd

blank half the vobs ( 2nd half ), then use shrink to create the 1st disc

then use vob blanker restore the blanks ( 2nd half ), and blank the first half and use shrink to make the second disc

if done correctly at the chapter markers,

there will be NO compression, and the movie will be split between the discs and you can even keep the menus ( if you want )

use whole disc mode to author, the blanked vobs will not be used by shrink

or re-author if you wish to run the movie direst with no menus,

With one large movie Video Redo worked fine, split it and burnt to two DVDs and played OK

With another one it simply would not iniatate the split.

Anyone know what characteristics would make it not split the second movie. Both were VOB files.
