    If it's an online flv you can use http://vixy.net/ or upload and convert online with http://media-convert.com/ .

    I suspect the easiest would be QuickTime Pro with MPEG Components,
    both $ from Apple, and the free Perian QT component.

    Read the FLV into QuickTime, and export/sound/to AIFF and use
    a converter (iTunes'll do it) to convert the AIFF to MP3.

    Try this droplet

    BTW, this is a one-step convertor. No exporting from Quicktime and converting with iTunes. This droplet will output an MP3.

    second Albloom, I've used this method tons of times,
    also subtituted iTunes with Amadeus II.

    VLC will now play flv files, so you could recode with it, but the droplet mentioned above is much easier.

    A word of warning: That app is not listed in versiontracker.

    Clicking that link automatically downloads whatever Macvide is.
    I don't know because I aborted the download.

    @jpabloott:
    Please don't hot link to applications. If you feel there's a tool missing, enter it in our Tools DB (see Tools left).
    Also, please don't wake up long dead threads.
