    I am thinking of resizing my ntsf partition and making another partition for linux. I am at a point where I would like to go beyond the live-cd. Are there any good SAFE partition managers that I can use that won't destroy the data on my existing hd?

    IIRC a lot of Linux distros actually come with some tool for resizing the partitions, and they're usually free.

    IIRC a lot of Linux distros actually come with some tool for resizing the partitions, and they're usually free.
    I have heard of such things like QTParted, but are they safe for resizing NTSF partitions since linux doesn't actively support writing to NTSF? My main issue is can it be done safely so I don't have to reinstall windows and deal with that kind of problem
