  1. Hi,
    I am trying to multiplex a .m2v and a .ac3 with mplex.

    mplex -f 8 -o "done.mpg" "video.m2v" "audio.ac3"

**ERROR: [mplex] Need to split output but there appears to be no %d in the filename

This is an old problem that was supposed to be fixed.
    See:
    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=210853

I have version 2.2.2 2003/05/13. Is this version still too old or is there possibly a problem with my m2v or ac3 files?

    Thanks, Squeeto

its not a bug. Mplex has detected some 'end of stream' markers in the m2v file and wants to create a separate file for the next segment. You can remove the 'end of stream' markers with restream. Also see here for a related subject.

  3. This is true- I joined a few .m2v films together using BeSplit.

BeSplit -core( -input video.lst -prefix video.m2v -type m2v -join )

Do you think I should be talking to DSPguru next?

  4. Maybe it is something that I did in TMPGEnc.

  5. Aaahh. ReStream did the trick and DVDAuthor didn't complain either.
    Thank you Liquid217.

Did I make a mistake along the way (a setting in TMPGEnc maybe) that I could correct so that I don't have to restream? Maybe BESplit adds the end of sequence codes.

If besplit is the last tool you used before using mplex, then i would guess that it added them. Im not really familiar with besplit, so i really can't help you with that.
