I am trying to convert files in Sony Vegas Pro to replay on my daughters VTech Innotab 3s
The VTech website recommends the following settings:

H.264 baseline profile video and MP3 audio in an AVI file
    Aspect Ratio 16:9 @ Resolution 480x272
    or
    Aspect Ratio 4:3 @ Resolution 320x240
    Video bitrate: 600 Kbps
    Audio bitrate: 96 Kbps
    Maximum file size: 2G

When I am trying to render I do not know which AVI template to use as there are a number of choices.

I have also downloaded Tencoder and tried converting through this but unfortunately I can't get this to work either.

I have been trying for over a week now to do this and it driving me bonkers as I am pretty sure that Sony Vegas should enable me to do this and its the perimeters I am inputting that are incorrect .

  2. That demand, avi container and H.264 video + MP3 audio sounds prehistoric,

One of the way how to do it, install x264vfw 32bit, get VirtualDub 32bit

Export your movie from Vegas with that x264vfw, you should find it among avi exports ... then export mp3

load that video to Virtual Dub ,set direct stream copy for video, audio from other file, direct stream copy for audio also, Save as avi ...
EDIT: I just realize, you have 64bit Vegas most likely, so you need 64bit x264vfw
