  1. I'm having an issue with an mp4 file. I'm trying to convert this to a dvd using AVStoDVD, however the file is too big to fit on the disc as one. How do I split an mp4 file in half for dvd conversion. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Whats the video length/runtime? You should be able to adjust the bitrate so it fits.

But you can split mp4s with for example mymp4boxgui (under split) or with avidemux(open mp4, set start and stop, save as new mp4).

  3. The video's runtime is 4 hours and 23 minutes. I'll try these programs to see what happens and will report back. Thanks for the input.

  4. Tried using mymp4boxgui to split the file and when I did the audio became out of sync. Anyway to fix this?

THen you try avidemux. But I guess you will get same problem so get a dual-layer dvdr(~8gb) and burn on it instead.
