I just ripped 2 dvd's onto my computer and used tempgenc to make them into mpg's. but when I play them in windows media player, or my standalone dvd player, the edges are gone and the picture is zoomed in about 1.5x-2x. any help?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

You got the wrong TMPGEnc settings, that's why the picture got zoomed in.
In the Advanced Tab, set video source to either 4:3 NTSC (if DVD was full screen) or 16:9 NTSC (if DVD was wide screen). For output video, select "preserve aspect ratio.
This should fix the problem.
