    Whenever I pause a video in PotPlayer my laptops fan speeds up quite significantly. Then when I press play again it calms down.

    This doesn't seem to happen in other players, like VLC.

    Anyone have any idea why this is happening?

    I think you must change video render options in rc menu.

    Yeas, I am using the Madshi Video Renderer & changing it stops this problem, but why does it this happen anyway? Why would the fans speed up when I pause the video when using this renderer?

    Looks like a MadVR issue, not the player.
