  1. I'm using PowerDVD and want to know how to capture a screenshot.

I've been told two things that don't work. One was use an icon on the player that looks like a camera, but this icon is not there. Also, I was told to press P and it should create a folder for it. This doesn't work, or I simply can't find the folder.

    THANKS!

You can always hit the (prt scr)print screen button on your keyboard, then open up Paint and do paste to get the screen.
You also need the Full version of Powerdvd.

    Really?

    *opens PowerDVD now to check*

Yep, you're right. Says so in the help:

Caution: This option will be unavailable if you enable video hardware acceleration. This option is found in the Video configuration under the section Hardware Acceleration.
However, it'll still let you click the capture button. Bad UI here...

TO CAPTURE A SCREEN SHOT USING POWER DVD YOU NEED VERSION 5 OR HIGHER. PLAY THE DVD OR VCD OR SVCD IN POWER DVD AND WHEN THE SCREEN COMES UP THAT YOU WANT TO CAPTURE I USUALLY PAUSE THE SCREEN AND THEN CLICK ON THE CAMERA ICON. THAT WAY YOU GET A CLEAN SAVE WITH NO BLUR. LBJOHNSON

  9. You should be able to use a screen capture application that can capture DirectX overlay surfaces.
