    I was backing up/ripping Downton Abbey S 5.

Anydvd was unable to complete an iso file of 2 of 3 disks, (tried multiple times), but, (what I dont understand) was able to complete the same 2 as dvd vob files. Then, DVDshrink was unable to open them, (have not tried fixvts yet) (I prefer iso images). (vob files play ok on media player)

    What gives?? Just wondering.

Relying on DVDShrink to open modern DVDs (it doesn't matter if AnyDVD or DVDFab decrypted them) is becoming less and less "smart" these days. It obviously happens (it happened to you) and it has happened to me quite often. I've long since stopped relying 100% on this procedure.

Downton Abbey Season 5 has proved to be a troublesome set of discs. There is a long thread about it over at Slysoft: https://forum.slysoft.com/showthread.php?62718-Downton-Abbey-season-5&highlight=downton+abbey

    Edit: Oops, wrong link
