Needing advice on which program to use for burning styled subs for anime (includes karaoke) and use MP4 as the container. I've used mediaencoder but doesn't really burn the karaoke and colored special fonts.

I'm pretty well versed in using programs such as mkvmerge, mkvextract, vidcoder and all other GUI programs.

The videos I will be encoding are 480p and 720p. Also includes attachments such as fonts and the .ass file.

    Please help, thanks!

Nice! After playing around with it, I was able to get the right quality and burn the subtitles. Also, installing the fonts first will then apply it when encoding. Thanks mate!!

I don't think you can do that easily. Maybe if you make image subtitles in sub/idx format or similar....but I have no idea if mp4 supports that.

Yeah, I'm not sure the MP4 container supports soft styled subs, offhand. (Now, if I could remember where that page that listed what MP4 did support... I'm going to have to start keeping a VideoHelp-related folder of bookmarks. )
If cameras add ten pounds, why would people want to eat them?

  8. Offhand: MP4 can hold TTEXT as softcoded subtitles as well as IDX/SUB ("supported" format in My MP4box GUI). I'm not sure if devices (Apple) supports the latter but players like VLC does.
