EXPERIMENTAL : author DVD on CD
--------------------------------------------------------
THIS is my first post...
NOTE : you can ignore this tips if you prefer standard DVD authoring
##software requirements:TMPGEnc DVD author v1.6.34.89
##"higher than this version only support DVD disc"
If you have small amount of videos (smaller than 600mb) & need to convert it to DVD,why don't you use this guide....
If you feel that you'll waste lots of unused space when using DVD-R then you can use CD-R(CD-RW not supported).
1. First, convert all your videos with your MPEG encoder(TMPGEnc Express recommended, use MPEG2 file output )
2. Watch for the total MPEG2 files size resulted...is it fit on 1 CD (max.600mb,smaller recommended)
3. Load the MPEG2 results to TMPGEnc DVD Author v1.6.34.89,then create menus, chapters and stuff..
4. Then create and burn the DVD result using the CD-R you have inserted into your DVD writer..
5. DONE
6. PLAY the "DVD on CD" on your DVD player....
7. The DVD player may not recognize it as DVD,but it will play.....
P.S. :- this is only for the experimentalist
- the results may vary depends on your DVD player
- the TMPGEnc DVD Author may warn you about DVD standard.you can ignore this
- use only this TMPGEnc internal burner(Nero/others will refuse DVD structure written on CD)
- Even the new version of TMPGEnc DVD Author also refuse to write DVD structure on CD
- I will provide screenshot if needed (next time)
- I use this method several times with mostly successful
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

Why would anyone want to do this today? It only worked on about half the DVD players where I tried it (sample size of 4), and computers (if they had DVD video software--not all did). The future seems more likely to lose backward support for CD-R than DVD-R, and the price isn't much different. It's just DVD files burned to a CD-R. It works, but why bother? -
Ha Ha Ha, that guy got owned.
