Hi,
I recently moved to the US from the UK and couldn't bear to leave behind my reliable old PS2. Unfortunately I'm not having much luck getting it to work over here.
I've bought a transformer that allows me to power the thing but I'm still not able to get any video on my TV. I've got a Samsung UN46B6000 LED thing.
I think I need to now buy some kind of PAL to NTSC converter, but on searching through some of the old threads on here I noticed a few posts hinting that Samsungs just don't like PAL here.
So I'm wondering if anyone can confirm a converter would work with my TV and maybe suggest a decent one? Or should I just resign myself to buying a new PS2?
Thanks!

It will be cheaper to buy a new PS2. I don't know if your games will work on it though. Here are some examples of PAL to NTSC converters:
