    i think someone said if you install the demo version of powerdvd that even after it expired tmpgenc keeps working

  8. There are a few free ones about (bbmpeg/avi2mpg2 etc) but with Tmpgenc Plus only being $88 it's worth a purchase.

    I know none of you have posted direct links to "unofficial" software but you may as well have fellas. Try and support the software authors, without them we would all be stuck.

    well DAMN them(TMPGenc)for screwing their existing(2.56 Version customers and ealier...when the program worked for DVD).

    And why are you defending them. I OWN the plus(Paid for) version, but every other software that I've ever purchased comes ready to use with All-included items to do the job.

    The fact that on TOP of that price TMPGenc charges, the program won't work for DVD unless you buy a 3rd party's $50 to $200 additional prgram is unbelievable.

    Yes, TMPGenc is a good product.

    But THAT is bait and switch con artist tactics after paying the $88 for the program already!
