  1. Hi guys,

I have a dvd with AC3 sound and wanted to reauthor it with a MP2 sound.
So I extracted the files and got VOB files.
I separated these files so I now have M2V files and MP2 files.
I tried several softwares to mux the M2V and MP2 but I have one big issue : it works perfect for the first files VTS_01_1.m2v and VTS_01_2.80.mp2 but it says VTS_01_2.m2v is not a valid video file.
Could someone please explain me what the issue is and how to solve it ?
Thanks in advance for your help

    I removed your other thread.

How did you extract the files? Use pgcdemux and you should just get one video and audio file for each track. THen reauthor with muxman.

  4. Hi Baldrick,
Thanks for removing the other thread, I didn't know how to do it.
I extracted the files with DVDshrink.
The thing is I only wanted to convert the sound, I mean I hoped I could keep the menu and chapters.
Will it work with pgcdemux and muxman ?

Why do you want to convert to MP2 audio? There's nothing wrong with MP2 audio, but converting from AC3 to MP2 is very unusual as just about everything supports AC3 playback.

  6. Hi jman98, this is an AC3 2ch and when I play it my amp automatically switches to Dolby Pro Logic and I don't like how it sounds.
With a stereo MP2 sound, I can make my amp play on the 5 speakers, which I prefer.
