A little confusion pls. help

Hi!
I have a little confusion in my mind..
Well my original file is an AVI I'd like to author it on a DVD so that i can view them on a stand alone player..

I have tried to do that in several way following different guide but doesn't work..

I have tried to use TMGgenc Author, NeoDVD but nothing they don't work..

I don't understand well the right step to conversion->author can you pls check if i have understood right:
From the AVI file I convert to MPG with audio 48000 K with TMPgenc Plus.
With for example TMPgenc Author i create the file VOB and IFO and automatically burn it.

If try to get only IFO and VOB how can i burn that with Nero?
How can i put more than one video?

yes. you can convert several avis with tmpgenc and then add all in tmpgenc dvd author.
