Isolating the source of some interference on my older Sony 27 in Trinitron while viewing dvd on a Sony DVP NS575P stand alone player has been troubling.
The interference pattern is diagonal unbroken lines from top right to bottom left.
Starting up the Trinitron shows no interference pattern when the DVD player is off.
Long ago I read about a tweak for DVD players using lead foil to shield the internals of a DVD player.
My question is: Is this a familair problem? Can it be solved by a better shielded cable? The connection to the tv is a simple RCA plug from DVDPlayer Line Out (yellow) jack.
I've had this player for years and it seems that the problem comes and goes. A computer is nearby but when that is off, the current interference remains.
I have done some wire jiggling to no improvement.
If there is some site specific place for such a hardware question, I do not know it.
