    Hi I have some *.wmv,s and I need to make them into one sinlge one? any help ? is it HJSPLIT?
    also would the application that can join them work for avi's and mpgs etc???

    Tmpgenc MPEG Encoder will do that for you.

    It can open WMV, AVI and MPEG files and if you check the "open file sequence as single file" option it can open files in the format "File001.wmv", "File002.wmv", ... as as single file.

    It can output them in AVI or MPEG.

    Same principle with AVI and MPEG files.

    If you want to keep the wmv format, then try ASFTools v.3.1 It can merge several wmv files into one and can also convert wmv to AVI.
    The more I learn, the more I come to realize how little it is I know.

    Windows Movie Maker should be able to do that for you.
