I just downloaded and tried FreeEnc for the first time. I keep getting the message:

    "Could not open libavcodec MPEG2"

Am I supposed to install libavcodec? If so, how do I do that? I downloaded ffmpeg which is supposed to use libavcodec, but there is not install program.

I tried hcenc, and it seemed to come out too dark (or maybe contrast). Since I am not much of an expert on changing the settings in hcenc, I decided to try another encoder first. Maybe that was a dumb idea, I don't know. But that's why I thought I would try FreeEnc, just to see if it made any difference.
