  1. I have an old system without a dvd burner. All I want to do for editing is basic cut outs to line all of the good peices of film together. Can I send my completed film to a new tape in my digital 8 camcorder via firewire? Will there be any quality loss?

    Thank you

  3. I heard that the canopus codec is good for capturing from a camcorder. I downloaded/installed both of the canopus codecs from the tools page but they do not show up as an codec option in my capture programs.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

you are not capturing but transfering already compressed data with DV ...

you dont even need a codec installed ...

the dv codec only is used for re-rendering
