  1. There's another x265 project out there, see: https://github.com/lheric/x265

    Did anybody test it?

    so this is written in plain C, huh? this would be perfect for porting to either CUDA or Open CL.

    edit: i think this is the "real" x265, the original one that the chinese programmer started using x264 as a base, before the MCW guys took over the project. i guess he kept developing the version he started.

    either way, an x265 encoder written in pure C should be very easy to run on a gpu with little modification.

    That's what I was thinking while trying to get command arguments to work.

    the author named at lheric/x265 is 廖梓鑫 (= Liào Zǐ Xīn) which isn't mentioned at http://code.google.com/p/x265/
